Subject: Re: [tarantool-patches] [PATCH v5 4/4] box: introduce multikey indexes
Date: Thu, 7 Mar 2019 18:55:09 +0300	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <ba99ab0c-b1d1-c9a3-1254-f3d1b85ff32f@tarantool.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <126ecffeb103797f6a466387cd780587d0270275.1551951540.git.kshcherbatov@tarantool.org>

I've implemented a better version that is easier to understand and works better.
I am going to think, how do not reallocate field map when multikey index was met.
Maybe I'll resend this patch again later.

=======================================================

With multikey index feature introduction, JSON path may have [*]
placeholder instead of array index: this allows to index
multiple documents by one JSON path automatically.

Example:
s = box.schema.space.create('withdata')
idx = s:create_index('idx', {parts = {{3, 'str', path = '[*].fname'},
                                  {3, 'str', path = '[*].sname'}}})
_ = s:insert({1, 1, {{fname='James', sname='Bond'},
                 {fname='Austin', sname='Powers'}}})
idx:get({'Austin', 'Powers'})
---
- [1, 1, [{'fname': 'James', 'sname': 'Bond'}, {'fname': 'Austin',
'sname': 'Powers'}]]
...

Closes #1257
